Breathe In, Breathe Out

It’s been a rough week around here, full of sleepless nights and visits to urgent care, emergency pages to the pediatrician and cabin fever all around.  But finally, finally, it seems that we have turned a corner.  The baby slept the whole night through, my husband got bed early, and I managed to finish my last paper of the semester just in the nick of time.

This morning I went running along a foothill trail with the sun rising in front of me, and all of a sudden it feels like life is not just back to normal but back to being great, filled with happiness and hope and a laughing baby and beautiful rays of pink and orange sun glittering through the trees.  And all of a sudden we all finally, finally get to take that much needed deep, deep breath.

  1. I’m sorry things have been hard, but I’m glad you’re seeing things turn around now!! Hope the sleep-filled nights continue!

    1. Thanks Valerie! We just had a weekend filled with lots of baby fun time followed by lots of baby (and adult) sleep. I feel like a new person, and I think the baby does too…
